After a good three years, CRMPS Cronimet Power Solutions GmbH successfully completed its large-scale develoPPP.de project in Africa in May 2019. The project, which was implemented simultaneously in numerous countries in South, West and East Africa, aimed to demonstrate the possibilities of PV solar energy in Africa and to implement the associated technical knowledge in a sustainable manner. For this purpose two PV demonstration plants were built and cooperation agreements with universities and local operational partners were involved. Numerous workshops and presentations at ministerial level helped to put the energy problem and its possible solutions on the political agenda through the use of alternative energies. The project was supported by BMZ via DEG Deutsche Investitions- und Entwicklungsgesellschaft mbH.
